Our Saints

We have many Carmelite Saints: the list is continually growing. As soon as anyone reaches the category of Blessed, which they attain before becoming a saint, we can celebrate their feast/memorial in the liturgy. I am taking the liberty of connecting to other sites for the details of the saints.

St Teresa of Jesus (more commonly known as Teresa of Avila) Foundress of the Discalced branch of the Order and the first female doctor of the church.

St John of the Cross Co-founder with Teresa. Doctor of the church.

St Therese of the Child Jesus and the Holy Face ( often known as The little flower or St Teresa) Doctor of the church

St Teresa Benedicta of the Cross (also known as Edith Stein)

St Raphael Kalinowski

St Elizabeth of the Trinity

St Miriam of Jesus Crucified (also known as the Little Arab)

St Teresa of the Andes
