Single cards: Nuns – pack of 8 Z1 – Z8
These cards are drawings by Ruth Obbard with quotes from various saints. Mother Teresa and Elizabeth of the Trinity are included although not designated as saints, because they still had to be canonized when the cards were printed.
The set of cards sold in packs of eight are unlaminated.
Sold individually they are laminated.
There is no labour
where there is love,
or if there is,
the labour itself
There is an
interchange of love
which takes place only
on the cross.
Elizabeth of the Trinity
what a great blessing
it is to set no store by
anything that will not
bring us nearer to God.
St Teresa of Jesus
He who sows courtesy
he who plants kindness
the beginner in prayer
has to do is
to labour and be resolute
and prepare himself
to bring his will
with the will of God.
St Teresa of Jesus
we allow him
LOVE is continually
bubbling up and
thinking of the things it will
do. It cannot remain where
it is, just as springwater
seems unable to remain in
the earth, but issues forth
St Teresa of Jesus
the human heart
the gift of God himself.
Delivery & Returns
Goods are usually posted as soon as possible after the order is received. There is no post at the weekends or bank (public) holidays. If there is a problem you will be informed of it. Please be aware that we are often at the mercy of the postal services and delivery agents. They will usually give an expected date but there may be mitigating circumstances like weather problems, strikes etc to delay the delivery. We always get a certificate of posting on overseas goods. This is a free service by the post office and is not insurance. The Royal Mail will not try to trace an item until 15 working days after it has been posted for local mail. For overseas mail, once it has knowingly left the country they have no trace on it as it has now gone into another country’s postal system. It is possible to get tracking but this is an added cost.
Should you be sent the wrong item and the fault is entirely ours we usually do not ask for the item to be returned due to the high costs of postage involved, but we are willing to replace it with the correct item or refund the payment made.
If you decide you do not want the item for any other reason, you are free to cancel the order. If the item has already been sent, we expect it to be returned in the condition it left us, before you receive a refund. You will be expected to pay the return postage.
Problems or complaints
If you need to complain about something you’ve bought, always come back to us and we will do our best to settle the problem or try to trace a missing parcel.
Any customs duties in countries outside the UK are the responsibility of the buyer.
As this is a mail order business the following apply.
The laws in the UK say that:
- you must be given clear information about the goods or services before you buy
- you must get written confirmation of this information after you have made your purchase
- there is usually a ‘cooling-off period’ where you can cancel your order for any reason
- you can get a refund if items aren’t delivered on the agreed delivery date
If no delivery date is given, you can get a refund if items aren’t delivered within 30 days of placing your order.
The usual rules that apply to shopping on the high street also apply to distance selling. So items must be:
- as described
- of satisfactory quality
- fit for purpose
The cooling-off period and your right to cancel
If you buy something without face-to-face contact, you will usually have a ‘cooling off period’ of seven working days. It lets you can cancel the order for any reason and get your money back.
If you decide to cancel your order within the cooling off period, you must tell the trader in writing.
You don’t have this cancellation right:
- if the item is personalised or made to order
If you have already paid for the items or services, the trader must refund your money within 30 days of you cancelling the agreement.
