Mass for the living: ML9 OUR LADY OF CZESTOCHOWA this card has the picture of the statue sometimes called the Black Madonna because the wood has gone very dark with time. It is a place of pilgrimage in Poland to the monastery where she is kept, Jasna Góra Monastery in Częstochowa The statue is thought to date back to the 14th Century.

O Mother of God and Queen of Poland! I kneel before you, I cry out to you, I invoke your help. From of old you are the Merciful Queen of Poland. Plead with your Son, Jesus Christ, on my behalf, I beg you. Through your powerful intercession I pray for God’s mercy and salvation for myself, my family and for my country. Preserve the gift of faith intact with me. Come to my rescue in my battle with the powers of darkness. The Almighty has chosen you to be for us a sure sign of victory over the evil enemy. Delivery & Returns

Goods are usually posted as soon as possible after the order is received. There is no post at the weekends or bank (public) holidays. If there is a problem you will be informed of it. Please be aware that we are often at the mercy of the postal services and delivery agents. They will usually give an expected date but there may be mitigating circumstances like weather problems, strikes etc to delay the delivery. We always get a certificate of posting on overseas goods. This is a free service by the post office and is not insurance. The Royal Mail will not try to trace an item until 15 working days after it has been posted for local mail. For overseas mail, once it has knowingly left the country they have no trace on it as it has now gone into another country’s postal system. It is possible to get tracking but this is an added cost.

Should you be sent the wrong item and the fault is entirely ours we usually do not ask for the item to be returned due to the high costs of postage involved, but we are willing to replace it with the correct item or refund the payment made.

If you decide you do not want the item for any other reason, you are free to cancel the order. If the item has already been sent, we expect it to be returned in the condition it left us, before you receive a refund. You will be expected to pay the return postage.

Problems or complaints

If you need to complain about something you’ve bought, always come back to us and we will do our best to settle the problem or try to trace a missing parcel.

Legal Information

Any customs duties in countries outside the UK are the responsibility of the buyer.

As this is a mail order business the following apply.

The laws in the UK say that:

  • you must be given clear information about the goods or services before you buy
  • you must get written confirmation of this information after you have made your purchase
  • there is usually a ‘cooling-off period’ where you can cancel your order for any reason
  • you can get a refund if items aren’t delivered on the agreed delivery date

If no delivery date is given, you can get a refund if items aren’t delivered within 30 days of placing your order.

The usual rules that apply to shopping on the high street also apply to distance selling. So items must be:

  • as described
  • of satisfactory quality
  • fit for purpose

The cooling-off period and your right to cancel

If you buy something without face-to-face contact, you will usually have a ‘cooling off period’ of seven working days. It lets you can cancel the order for any reason and get your money back.

If you decide to cancel your order within the cooling off period, you must tell the trader in writing.

You don’t have this cancellation right:

  • if the item is personalised or made to order

If you have already paid for the items or services, the trader must  refund your money within 30 days of you cancelling the agreement.
